Made with our signature recycled nylon, the durable shell of the MONSOON is reinforced with an additional water resistant membrane beneath, and all seams are sealed from the inside for ultimate protection against the elements. Two exterior zip pockets are strategically shielded by top flaps, safeguarding your essentials from moisture, and an inner chest zip pocket keeps your most important items extra secure.

How to Measure

Sleeve (A) — position the measuring tape at the midpoint of the back of your neck. Run the tape down your shoulder and arm until you reach your wrist. The overall measurement you get will be your sleeve length.

Chest (B) — wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the measuring tape flat against the body, and parallel to the ground.

Waist (C) — wrap the measuring tape around your natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips (D) — measure around the widest part of your hips.

Coat length (E) — measure from the centre back of the neck, straight down to the bottom hem.

Tips for the best measurement:

— Keep the measuring tape flat against the body, but do not tighten it too much. It should be taught enough to not slip down, but not feel constraining.

— Ensure the measuring tape is parallel to the ground to get the most accurate measurement.

— Stand straight with your feet hip-width apart.

— Measure yourself while wearing the typical clothing you would wear with a winter coat, to get the best sense of fit for your everyday life.

Returns

All return/exchange requests must be made within 45 days of receiving your order. Please email contact@bedistudios.com so we may assist you with the return process. Include your order number, the name of the item you wish to return and the reason for your return.

We will send instructions along with our warehouse address either in Canada or the U.S.A., depending on customer location. Return shipping is at the expense of the customer.

Once we receive the returned item(s), we will then process refunds/exchanges accordingly. We reserve the right to refuse refunds/exchanges if the item is damaged or soiled.

All BEDI winter coats are machine washable.

Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and gentle detergent (preferably biodegradable). Lay flat to dry. Using a steamer on your outerwear piece will remove any wrinkles.

Tip 1: Place your outerwear piece in the dryer on a low temperature for up to 5 minutes to remove humidity and to fluff up the multilayer insulation.

Tip 2: To naturally steam your piece, hang in the bathroom while taking your morning shower.

Waterproof Exterior, Interior Sealed Seams

The MONSOON features a thicker version of our signature recycled nylon. It's more waterproof, more durable, and more structured, giving the jacket a distinctive silhouette. There is an additional water resistant membrane below for added protection. All seams are sealed from the inside, to maintain a sleek, classic look.

Ample Hood

Like our popular winter coats, the MONSOON has a high neck and a large hood to keep the rain and wind at bay. The hood can be tightened with the subtle interior drawstring.

Waterproof Zipper

Our fully waterproof zipper is now a double zipper for added ease on bike rides or brisk walks.

Adjustable Cuffs

Made from salvaged airline seatbelts lined with velcro, the adjustable wrists on the MONSOON allow you to tighten the cuffs to prevent rain and wind from entering through the sleeves.

All our outerwear is made with a durable, eco-friendly nylon, made from regenerated fishnets. So you can look good while doing good.

PERFECT FOR "ATHMOSPHERIC RIVERS" IN VANCOUVER

I bought a men's Monsoon Raincout - XL in Burgundy. I wasn't sure about the right size as I am in between L - XL
I called Bedi Studios, and Inder, the founder, answer my call and assisted me through the process, it was very reassuring, he recommended to order XL and as it tourns out, it was the perfect size.
I received the coat just as we just started an "athmospheric river" front in Vancouver. I put it on, no-umbrella, just the coat and it performed fantastic, waterpoof, cacooning, warm, enjoyable to face the elements. Then color is very unique and received complements wherever I went.
I have to add, that I had very expensive Gore-Tex jackets from MEC, Arcterysk, etc. and none of them came even closer to Bedi Monsoon Raincoat. Not to mention at almost half the price!!
I love my new coat and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

New fabric is too stiff

Tried on sample with older fabric but received the new fabric version (199% waterproof was told)- but the newer fabric is too stiff to be comfortable and had to get alterations to shorten the sleeves and to fold the hood down - that was stiff up the back of my head - uncomfortable too. The design is lovely but the fabric is a bad choice.

Monsoon Raincoat

As the monsoon season has begun here on the West Coast it will be very much used as Mother Nature unleashes the rain drops that make up our fall and winter. Light weight but heavy enough not to be confused that it's just a shell. The hood is excellent coming up and over my ball cap keeping the rain off my face and the wind at bay. Thanks BEDI Studio team for an excellent product.
