How to Measure

Sleeve (A) — position the measuring tape at the midpoint of the back of your neck. Run the tape down your shoulder and arm until you reach your wrist. The overall measurement you get will be your sleeve length.
Chest (B) — wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the measuring tape flat against the body, and parallel to the ground.
Waist (C) — wrap the measuring tape around your natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso.
Hips (D) — measure around the widest part of your hips.
Coat length (E) — measure from the centre back of the neck, straight down to the bottom hem.
Tips for the best measurement:
— Keep the measuring tape flat against the body, but do not tighten it too much. It should be taught enough to not slip down, but not feel constraining.
— Ensure the measuring tape is parallel to the ground to get the most accurate measurement.
— Stand straight with your feet hip-width apart.
— Measure yourself while wearing the typical clothing you would wear with a winter coat, to get the best sense of fit for your everyday life.

All BEDI winter coats are machine washable.
Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and gentle detergent (preferably biodegradable). Lay flat to dry. Using a steamer on your outerwear piece will remove any wrinkles.
Tip 1: Place your outerwear piece in the dryer on a low temperature for up to 5 minutes to remove humidity and to fluff up the multilayer insulation.
Tip 2: To naturally steam your piece, hang in the bathroom while taking your morning shower.

Durable YKK Zipper, Made in Montreal
Our heavy-duty zippers are designed to last. Made in Montreal using recycled materials, this isn't your typical zipper. These durable zips are a part of why we can offer a lifetime guarantee on all our outerwear.

Warmth Without the Bulk
Lightweight Isosoft insulation keeps you warm without weighing you down. Made in Belgium and fully machine washable, it gives the CHINOOK its versatile warmth, keeping you comfortable from −10°C to +15°C.
F.A.Q.
Your most common questions, answered. If you don't see your question below, email us anytime at contact@bedistudios.com — we're here to help!
How do I choose the right size for me?
As this is a unisex style, we recommend that men choose their typical BEDI style. Women may like to size down one size, depending on your stature. Check our Size Guide for detailed measurements, and if you're still not sure, email us anytime at contact@bedistudios.com — we're happy to help!
WHAT TEMPERATURE IS THE CHINOOK DESIGNED FOR?
The CHINOOK is rated for maximum comfort between -10°C and +15°C (14°F to 59°F). Your comfort will also depend on factors like wind, activity level, and what you wear underneath.
Is the CHINOOK good for spring and fall?
Yes. The CHINOOK was specifically designed for shifting temperatures and in-between weather. Its lightweight, lightly insulated construction makes it easy to wear on its own or layer over lighter pieces when temperatures drop.
IS THE CHINOOK WARM ENOUGH FOR WINTER?
Probably not warm enough for Canadian winters, unless you run warm! The CHINOOK is designed for changing temperatures and in-between weather. It is lightly insulated with premium Isosoft® insulation and rated for maximum comfort between -10°C and +15°C (14°F to 59°F). Its quilted, wind-resistant construction provides warmth without the weight or bulk of a traditional winter coat.

Is the CHINOOK made with down?
No. The CHINOOK is insulated with premium Isosoft®, a lightweight synthetic insulation designed to provide warmth without bulk. It’s also completely vegan, making it an alternative to traditional down quilted jackets.
Is the CHINOOK Waterproof?
The CHINOOK is water-resistant and wind-resistant, but it is not fully waterproof. Its recycled nylon shell helps protect you from light rain and changing weather, while the sealed YKK zipper provides additional protection from the elements.
Why is the back of the CHINOOK longer than the front?
The CHINOOK has a slightly longer back to provide extra coverage and help prevent cold air and wind from sneaking in underneath the jacket.
How can I wash my CHINOOK jacket?
Like all our outerwear, this jacket is machine washable! We just recommend air drying (it takes about a day.) Please skip the dryer, as this material doesn’t like the heat.
Do you offer a warranty?
We're very proud to offer a Lifetime Guarantee on all our coats and bags. Your coat is covered for life against any manufacturer defects. That means that 20 years from now, if your zipper breaks, or a seam pops, we’ll get it fixed for you.
What’snotcovered under the warranty? We don’t cover accidental damage (say, if you lay it on a hot barbecue or back over it with your car). But accidents happen! If you need a repair, send us an email— we want you to be able to continue enjoying your coat, and we can usually repair it for a small fee.
What is your return policy?
You have 45 days to return or exchange your coat. You can wear it out (we want you to feel confident in it!), but it must come back in good condition—no stains or damage. If it’s returned dirty, we may have to reject the return. Return shipping is not covered.
Turning Fishing Nets Into Fabric
All our outerwear is made with a durable, eco-friendly nylon, made from regenerated fishnets. So you can look good while doing good.
